Harvest Thanksgiving - Sunday 13th October

Harvest Thanksgiving is an annual celebration, and in Britain, thanks have been given for successful harvests since pagan times. Nowadays, the celebrations on this day include singing hymns, praying and being thankful for our many blessings.

Harvest is also a great season for us as a Christian, as God looks to our harvest - how fruitful are we as Christians?  It is also a time to remember those less fortunate. This year, as usual, the parish is collecting for the work of The Passage, an organization which helps with the Homeless.
